RE-INTEGRATION & PVE SECTOR PROJECTS INFORMATION

Since 2003, The international community is trying to help Iraq in development, but these attempts are hindered by the presence of humanitarian crises from time to time, this trend has given new urgency to the long-standing discussion around better connectivity between humanitarian and development efforts and this called “Nexsus”. At the same time, the adoption of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out not just to meet needs, but to reduce risk, vulnerability and overall levels of need, providing a reference frame for humanitarian and development actors to contribute to the common vision of supporting the furthest behind first and a future in which no one is left behind. SEDO working to acheive the SDGs and apply Nexsus methodology to reponsed for the emergencies and humanitarian needs. One of the pre-development step is recovery, and SEDO work to implement reintegration and PVE activities to enable the community the accpetance of the IDPs and returnees and Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) inside the differnet kind of communities. SEDO implemented about (12) projects in the re-integration and PVE. SEDO has qualified trainers, teams, and experts in the re-integration and PVE subjects

IDPs, returnees, host communities, and remainees from different ages, sects, and location. SEDO targeted them in the off camps and inside citites and villages.
SEDO implemented Re-integration and PVE activities in each of Nineveh, Salahaddin, Kirkuk, Diyala, and Anbar provinces

SEDO provided reintegration services to the children adult in contact with the law and the community of concern, including family coaching, trainings on career development and business management and provision of reintegration kits including micro grants, also provide Certified Vocational Trainings (CVT) and microgrant (in-kind) in line with the support for reintegration provision of group psychosocial and life skill sessions to children and youth in and outside detention centres. Regarding the PVE, SEDO supported forming of PVE community committies, technical and financial support of community initiatives (like arts, sport, and others) to support the PVE, provide technical training about the PVE, and support the youth centers and clubs to adopt this trend in their activities
